Remember Rowena Cave?

Rowena in 1974

Rowena today (in Bali!)
When did you attend Priory?
1972 - 1976
Who was your most unforgettable teacher?
So many! Rick Lavendar who taught me to sail
and had us do capsize drill in the middle of Kingston harbour in the middle
of sewage and jellyfish! And turned a blind eye to our misdeeds on Blue
Mountain Peak (well, it was Jamaica and the 70s!); Barrie Day who lived near
us in Irish Town and was my form teacher; John Batten who was so kind to me,
Mr Fowler who knew us all.

Who were your best friends at school?
Sally Wenstrom, Kate Troup,
Ariadne Henry, Steve Warren, - among others
Kate Troup
Who are you in touch with now?
Steve Warren. Found Sally
Wenstrom and Ariadne Henry again through the website, thanks!

Sally Wenstrom
Who would you like to trace if we could?
Kate Troup, Thorwald Van de Tooren

Thorwald Van De Thoren
What's the wildest thing you ever did at Priory?
Cutting school to visit Bob Marley's house; or being part of the group who shifted a car into the art classroom – anyone remember that? Or the misdeeds on top of Blue Mountain…
Who was the craziest person during your time at Priory?
Mrs Fowler - grabbing people by the ear, telling them they looked like 'a rat-bat's backside',

Mrs Fowler
Where do you live and what do you do now?
I live in Wellington, New Zealand - well, on top of a mountain near Wellington – the Blue Mountains (a home from home!). I'm trained in neuropsychology and I was until recently a senior medical research manager writing guidelines to tell doctors how they should be doing it; recently I’ve started as a research/policy manager with the New Zealand Families Commission
Tell us about any significant others
Insignificant ex, two significantly tall
children: Jake who's 19 and training as an adventure-eco tourism leader and
is into all the extreme sports, and Abby who's 17 and just finished her
final year at school and is having a couple of ‘gap’ years to travel before
uni; a significantly crazy Irish partner who's an ecologist, plus two
brothers and a sister (Alex, Duncan, Sara) all were at Priory, all now
getting older!

What do you think of the Priory site?
Love the website- great idea and great job, Stephen. How about a 'teachers' page'?
